Tujuan Caltrops adalah untuk memperlambat penyerang pad jarak maximum sementara pasukan & alat pertahanan yg lain bisa menyerang begitu masuk jarak serang.
Caltrops hanya menimbulkan kerusakan kecil; dia tidak bisa membunuh pasukan musuh secara terpisah.
Caltrops tidak berpengaruh pada Cavalry, Supply Wagons, dan Siege Engines: mereka bisa melewatinya.
Caltrops bisa berguna bila ada Archers dan pasukan jarak jauh lainnya untuk mempertahankan kota anda, atau dengan didukung wall-mounted crossbows.
Caltrops murah pembuatannya dan sangat efisien sebagai unit pertahanan areal dan untuk menambah might anda.

Spiked Barriers bisa meneghentikan baik pasukan Cavalry, Siege Engines, dan Supply Wagonsselama mereka belum dihancurkan musuh.
Spiked Barriers bisa merusak dan menghancurkan Supply Wagons jika diabaikan.

-    Appoint a friend as a Knight in the Knights' Hall
-    Appoint a Knight as your Foreman, Steward, Marshal, or Alchemystic
-    Construct a total of 4 Sawmill buildings.
